Forum Afrique Expansion 2020: over 500 African and Canadian decision makers expected in Montreal

Montreal, November 20, 2019 – The 10th edition of Forum Afrique Expansion will be held September 23 and 24, 2020 at Montreal’s Palais des congrès. Now an annual gathering, the event will bring together more than 500 participants seeking to strike partnerships and discuss business opportunities between Africa and Canada.

Titled “Investment and Attractive New Sectors in Africa,” this tenth edition will enable African and Canadian decision makers, entrepreneurs and investors to connect with the vast and growing number of opportunities in what will be by 2030 the world’s largest consumer market for goods and services, according to the forecasts of the IFC, a World Bank affiliate.

Now the leading Canadian networking platform for Africa-Canada partnerships and the go-to event for an up-to-date take on Africa’s business climate, Forum Afrique Expansion showcases the benefits of an economic environment that is extremely attractive for investors and project bearers interested in African markets.

“Several African countries have developed Emergence Plans that require much investment and an input of new-economy know-how. Focused on sectors as diverse as infrastructure, energy and transportation, these plans offer numerous opportunities for Canadian businesspeople,” emphasizes Forum president and founder Amina Gerba.

To this end, delegations from some 30 countries are expected for this event, whose programming will include conference luncheons, panels and numerous workshops featuring well-known speakers. Discussions will revolve chiefly around the Forum’s main themes: new technologies, infrastructure, special economic zones, and youth and women’s employment in Africa.
